Outstretched Hand*
On a road less-taken
A journey began
The Sky gloomy...
Ground-festered, strewn
With dregs -papers flowing
Faces strange and smiling
A dame looking aghast
In disbelief, pale with distrust
"O’ God, what a people!"
So depraved yet so faithful
So in prayer straight
Chest pressed
Arm outstretched
Making invocations...
Come to me now my God, My light and all that I crave forWhat else do I seek?
In thee I persist So come now Give me the graces I resist
My Lord, inebriate me NOW With thy water, wash me With thy armor, cover me
Bid me come To the luxury paradise Of thy wondrous wonderland
Bid me go through this narrow-winded Dangerous-safety Home road Whatever it be...
My Lord, give me THY hand!
Come to me now my God,
My light and all that I crave for
What else do I seek?
In thee I persist
So come now
Give me the graces I resist
My Lord, inebriate me NOW
With thy water, wash me
With thy armor, cover me
Bid me come
To the luxury paradise
Of thy wondrous wonderland
Bid me go through this narrow-winded
Dangerous-safety Home road
Whatever it be...
My Lord, give me THY hand!
